The ‘A’ Certificate is a mandatory requirement to attain full membership of RMFC. It’s a measure of flying ability and safety which may be equated to a safe solo standard of flying, and an increasing number of clubs use it as their solo test.
The test consists of a basic flying schedule and a number of mandatory questions. (Note: We strongly recommend that all candidates wishing to take their A-Test should first take the online BMFA Registration Competency Certificate test, as you will then be exempt from answering the mandatory questions).
